Handmade guitars, built one at a time.
For more than two decades, Rob Budzinski has hand-built lightweight, resonant guitars in a small Pennsylvania workshop — neck-through construction, semi-hollow bodies, and a lineage that traces back to Alembic and the Grateful Dead.

Rob Budzinski
Born in Harrisburg, Rob's passion for lutherie was ignited by the guitars Alembic built for the Grateful Dead. He studied business — a BS in Marketing, an MBA from Temple — before turning that same discipline toward the workbench, hand-building every guitar himself in a small Dillsburg shop for more than twenty five years.
In 2021, he acquired one of Bob Weir's own guitars — now part of a small reference collection that quietly informs every build that leaves the shop.

A few from the shop
Everything here is done by hand
Carefully selected woods
Figured maple, ebony, and dense exotic hardwoods, chosen for weight, tone, and figure alike.
Neck-through construction
A laminated "hippie sandwich" of woods runs through the body and the neck of the guitar.
Nitrocellulose lacquer
Hand-sprayed, weeks-long cured, and hand sanded and buffed to a satin or mirror finish.
